Students who submit their FAFSA and have a completed application by May 1, 2011, will have their names placed in a drawing for several prizes including I-PADS and Bookstore Scholarships.
TNCC’s Financial Aid Services will hold three workshops to assist current students who have not yet completed their 2011-2012 FAFSA for the upcoming fall and spring semesters. Food and drinks will be served at the workshops. Registration is not required.
The priority date to have submitted your 2011-2012 FAFSA is May 1, 2011. Students who submit their application after this date will need to have another way to pay their classes by the tuition due date of August 5, 2011 or they may have their classes dropped.

The workshops at Hampton will be held in the Gallery located in Wythe Hall. The dates and times are Tuesday, April 19, 2011, from 12:30-2pm and Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 5:30-7pm. The workshop at Williamsburg will be held in Room 206. The date and time is Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 12:30-2pm. Students who want to complete their FAFSAs after the presentation will be able to do so in the library at both campuses. Financial Aid Services will have staff available in the library to assist students in completing the FAFSA.
We strongly urge you to come prepared for the workshop. You will want to bring the following:
- your social security card,
- driver’s license (if you have one)
- all financial information for 2010 (i.e., copy of your 2010 federal tax return, copies of all W2s).
You will also need to bring your Federal Student Aid PIN (Personal Identification Number), if you are planning to submit your FAFSA on this day. If you do not have a PIN, you may apply for one at www.pin.ed.gov. Your PIN allows you to electronically sign when you submit your FAFSA.
