Thomas Nelson Community College Workforce Development (TNCC-WD) offers customized contract credit and non-credit programs specifically designed to meet the changing technical requirements for today’s jobs.
The department has a long-standing history of working with major industry partners. Through co-op programs with business, government and community employers, such as Canon, Northrop Grumman, and NASA, workers can earn a salary and benefits as they gain valuable high tech skills. Meanwhile the under- and unemployed can prepare for good paying positions through accelerated courses designed for and with employers.
Annually, we serve close to 1,000 Peninsula businesses and community organizations, help numerous workers achieve their goals and handle more than 12,000 enrollments in all Workforce Development programs.
To facilitate easy enrollment, Workforce Development provides customized recruitment, assessment, training and registration services for groups of employees at their worksites. More than 400 targeted skills workforce courses are offered through Workforce Training Continuing Education to Peninsula citizens.
