Healthcare Customer Service Training Series


Providing exceptional customer service in a medical setting has its unique set of challenges. To help you navigate these challenges effectively, Thomas Nelson Community College has developed an affordable 5-session series specifically designed for healthcare workers.

  • Mondays from 1-5 p.m., March 26- April 23
  • or Wednesdays from 8 a.m. –noon, March 28 – April 25.

Training sessions are held at the TNCC Discovery Center for Economic and Workforce Development located at 5308 Discovery Park Boulevard, Suite 102 in the New Town area of Williamsburg.

Explore the value of stellar service and the role of the service provider in achieving it and more in this training session. 

This module will help service providers develop the skills for friendly attentive service that demonstrates interest and care for customers on a human level.   

Participants will learn to appreciate others’ unique perspectives, understand people’s inherent differences, and collaborate in a mutually beneficial way.  This course will review the different styles, abilities and motivations of others, and discuss how to leverage these differences to maximize results. 

The purpose of this module is to explore what it takes to deliver seamless service and to develop skills for addressing service issues with fellow service providers.

In this training session, participants will develop the skills to ensure that patients and other customers are satisfied and feel good about the service they receive.
