Word-Beat combines the artistry of singer/actor Charles Williams and global-jazz percussionist Tom Teasley to perform the inspirational texts of such authors as Langston Hughes and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. wrapped in powerful percussive grooves and uplifting melodies.

This commemorative march paying homage to Dr. King and others who marched during a pivotal era in American history to give voice to the voiceless is open to everyone at TNCC and the community at large. Participation is free.
