The Help Desk provides first level technical support to all faculty, staff and students of Thomas Nelson Community College. Please report all technology related issues, concerns and/or problems to the Information Technology Help Desk.


Hours of Operation:

  • Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 10 pm
  • Saturday – 8 am – 12 pm
  • The summer hours of operations will primarily impact Fridays. Standard coverage will begin at 7:45 AM and end at 5:30 PM.

Live Chat Policy and Procedures Additional Support Information Guides to the Student Information System (SIS) VMware View Clients

 

The hours of operation will follow the operating hours of the Enrollment Services Department.

  • Monday through Wednesday and Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Thursday 8:00 am to 7:00 pm

The operators will provide callers with assistance in reference to Thomas Nelson Community College’s website and Peoplesoft navigation. They will have the capability to view the student’s screen to help guide them through the process.

Through impeccable customer service skills the operator will facilitate student matriculation, manages and maintains student academic records; assist in processing academic transcript requests. The students will be screened for cross-registration eligibility, readmission appeals, domicile reclassification, graduation applications, transfer evaluations, course substitutions, assessment testing.

Operators will ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures in place for the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) and Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) while assisting students and other college constituents with registration/enrollment, records access, and documentation. Primary emphasis and work duties are related to enrollment at the college and specific to daily direct service delivery to persons seeking assistance at the Enrollment Services Office.

Operators have been crossed-trained in general Enrollment Services functions and will respond to inquiries about the college to include greeting the public; representing the college by providing accurate information about services and programs; communicating placement testing requirements; answering inquiries concerning state domicile guidelines and guiding students in using available enrollment resources through the internet and intranet.
