The Virginia Foundation for Community College Education is accepting applications for the John T. Casteen III Commonwealth Legacy Scholarship and the Kathy Camper Commonwealth Legacy Scholarship through July 2. The two awards are available to students currently enrolled in one of Virginia’s 23 community colleges. Applications and details are available at:
The John T. Casteen III Commonwealth Legacy Scholarship provides $3,500 to one first- or second-year student currently enrolled full-time at a Virginia community college who intends to transfer to University of Virginia (UVA). The award was established in honor of former UVA President John Casteen, an outstanding leader in higher education.
The Kathy Camper Commonwealth Legacy Scholarship provides $2,400 for one full-time student pursuing a career in Information Technology or Childhood Education. The scholarship was established in memory of Kathy Camper, a dedicated and long-time employee of Virginia’s Community Colleges.
