Student Life and Leadership

The Office of Student Life and Leadership offers activities and opportunities for students at both the Hampton and Historic Triangle campuses, and the students who attend classes at the Southeast Higher Education Center. Students can participate in student government, clubs and organizations, and earn scholarships for community service.

  • Get involved outside of the classroom through various student clubs and organizations offered at both campuses.

  • The Volunteer Community Service Scholarship program was founded in order to help students develop a love for service to others within their communities.

  • The National Society of Leadership and Success promotes the development of leadership skills and helps students discover and achieve their personal aspirations.

  • Intramural and intercollegiate sports and cheerleading are offered throughout the school year.

  • Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society of the two-year college. Thomas Nelson is the home of the Phi Sigma chapter of PTK.

  • The Student Ambassador Program consists of student volunteers who support special events hosted by the SGA and campus offices.

  • Tickets to area attractions are offered to students throughout the year at special discounted prices.

  • The SGA represents the interests of all students at Thomas Nelson and includes students from the Hampton and Historic Triangle campuses.

  • Immerse yourself in the arts year-round through exhibitions in our Visual Arts Gallery and theatre and musical performances in our Dr. Mary T. Chrisitan Auditorium & Theatre.
