Thomas Nelson Drive – Road Improvements

The City of Hampton is completing the final phase of its project to widen a portion of Thomas Nelson Drive in front the College’s Hampton campus. Please be advised that the entrance and exit points of parking lots 8 and 9 that flow to Thomas Nelson Drive will be permanently closed as part of this planned work. The City of Hampton anticipates completion this week by Friday, May 30, 2008.

All students, faculty, and staff may use the new entrances for lots 8 and 9 located along Hastings Drive in front of Hastings Hall. This project – funded entirely by the City of Hampton – is part of a plan to improve traffic safety along Thomas Nelson Drive where many accidents have occurred. The Plant Services Department appreciates your patience as we all adjust to this new and safer traffic pattern.
