Student Writing Contest Deadline Coming Soon
Reminder – Students enter the STUDENT WRITING CONTEST
This competition closes at noon on Thursday, October 23, 2008.
Two categories: SHORT STORY & POETRY
Eligibility: contest is open to all currently enrolled TNCC students, both full- and part-time.
Prizes: 1st $100; 2nd $75; 3rd $50; 4th $25; 5th $15. Guidelines: Students must submit THREE COPIES of each entry. Students may enter either or both categories. Entries should be original and previously unpublished compositions. Entries should be typed (double-spaced) on 8 and 1/2 by 11 paper. Students should fill out entry forms (available at main desk of library; outside Student Activities Office, room 224; outside Communications & Humanities Office in Templin Hall, or Office 114 in Building C at the Historic Triangle. Students’ names should NOT appear on any page of submitted poetry or short story. Submissions with attached entry forms should be turned in to main desk at the library on Hampton campus or to Office C-114 at the Historic Triangle campus by noon, Thursday, October 23, 2008. Students should retain a copy of each entry because submissions to this contest cannot be returned.
