The Office of Public Relations, Marketing, and Special Events supports and facilitates the College’s mission and strategic initiatives with successfully proven marketing principles and good practices. The mission of the Public Relations and Marketing Department is to raise and maintain the profile and reputation of Thomas Nelson Community College to all of its constituents. To achieve its mission, the Office of Public Relations and Marketing develops the marketing communications campaign and monitors and implements a consistent image of the College.
The Office of Public Relations (PR) encompasses a variety of communication efforts to create awareness of Thomas Nelson Community College in our community. PR regularly feeds the news media (radio, TV, newspapers) with story ideas that may help turn the spotlight to TNCC. Through these stories, our communities informed of the positive happenings at TNCC, the critical role that our institution plays in the communities we serve and the opportunities available for those who are interested in achieving their educational goals.

Staff:
The Public Relations and Marketing department is under the division of Institutional Advancement. The department is comprised of Public Relations, Marketing, Media Design and Production Services, and Special Events. The Office of Public Relations and Marketing department assists the various TNCC departments in developing marketing communications and public relations strategies and campaigns for recruitment, retention, fund raising, community service, alumni relations and others.
