Also as part of the visual arts experience, a Closing Awards Reception takes place Tuesday, April 18 at 5:30 p.m. followed by a Student Film Festival at 6:30 p.m. in the Dr. Mary T. Christian Auditorium. The free festival will include a diverse lineup of 55 entries, including commercials, music videos and public service announcements. Motion graphic works, including animation, typography in motion and network logo pieces will also be featured.
The juror this year is Tom Moore, recently retired curator of photography at The Mariner’s Museum and a Christopher Newport University adjunct professor.
