Thomas Nelson Community College and the Urban League of Hampton Roads, Inc. (ULHR) hosted the 7th Annual Peninsula Changing Lives Breakfast at the Hampton campus on Thursday, May 18 in Wythe Hall's Library Gallery.
The event highlighted the success stories of people who have been assisted by the ULHR. It provided information on ULHR's Education, Financial Empowerment-Workforce Development, Health Advocacy and Housing programs. Guests included leaders from government, business, industry, community service and faith-based intuitions.
The ULHR has served Hampton Roads residents since 1978. It is an affiliate of the National Urban League founded in 1910 in New York and is part of a network of over 95 offices in communities across the United States. More than 2.5 million people are served by the Urban League Movement.
