Thomas Nelson, in partnership with the Business Higher Education Forum, is looking for Hampton Roads undergraduate students, enrolled in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or Information Technology degree programs at area colleges, interested in an internship encompassing information technology and cybersecurity in Hampton Roads organizations.
This PAID internship offers an opportunity to earn three transferable credit hours in ITN-267, Topics in Cyber Law OR a Security+ certification (text, exam prep, software, and certification exam vouchers).
The internship will provide you with cyber and information technology experiences, leadership building, and networking opportunities.
Who: The Future IT/Cyber Leadership Internship Program is open to students pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology or Information Assurance at a community college or four-year university.
When: This 10-week internship, held May 22 - July 29
Where: Thomas Nelson has worked with the following Hampton Roads organizations to provide an innovative internship experiences:
- City of Hampton
- York County
- City of Newport News
- Newport News Shipbuilding
- Thomas Nelson Community College
Apply: All participants in the course will be selected through an application process which includes the submission of essay questions, an unofficial transcript, resume and an interview. Applications are due Feb. 15, by 5 p.m.
