Succeed. is the theme of the Open House to be held at the Historic Triangle campus of Thomas Nelson Community College on Saturday, April 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Registration and continental breakfast start at 8:30 a.m. The College’s Historic Triangle campus is located at 161A/B/C John Jefferson Square in the Busch Corporate Center in Williamsburg.
Parents along with new, prospective and returning students are invited to participate in the Open House to meet with the Thomas Nelson faculty and deans of the College’s four academic divisions who take pride in helping students meet high standards in the classroom in a supportive learning environment. Thomas Nelson staff will also be available to discuss admission, transfer options, financial aid, scholarships and other services available at the College.
Other activities planned for the day include a student panel presentation so prospective students and parents can hear about the educational experience of our current students, a discussion panel with the division deans and a campus tour. In addition, President Charles A. Taylor, various vice-presidents and the Administrator for the Historic Triangle campus will be in attendance.
Students can complete the following degree programs by attending classes just in the Historic Triangle campus: A.A. in Liberal Arts, A.S. in Business Administration, A.S. in Social Science, A.S. in Social Science and A.A.S. in Nursing.
Thomas Nelson Community College recently broke ground on its permanent campus which will be built on 73.46 acres of land on the Warhill site. The land was donated by James City County to the state for the purpose of building a campus for the College. The first phase of construction will be a 120,000 square foot building slated for completion by December 2008.
