Sometimes it’s All Fun! is the theme of the Open House to be held at Thomas Nelson Community College on Friday, March 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Parents along with new, prospective and returning students are invited to participate on the College’s Open House to meet with the TNCC faculty and deans of the college’s four academic divisions who take pride in helping students meet high standards in the classroom while creating a supportive learning environment.
Participants attending the Open House will also have an opportunity to attend the several workshops planned to discuss admission, transfer options, financial aid, scholarships and other opportunities available at the College. There will also be an opportunity for prospective students to apply to TNCC. The morning activities will begin with registration at 8:30 a.m. with tours planned at 8:30 a.m. and at 11:30 a.m. During the afternoon Open House, tours will be conducted at 3:30 and 5:30 p.m.
Thomas Nelson Community College is the fourth largest of the 23 community colleges in the Commonwealth of Virginia, enrolling more than 14,000 students annually. Founded in 1968 as a part of the Virginia Community College System, the college serves the cities of Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, Williamsburg and the counties of York and James City. TNCC offers more than 100 associate degrees, diploma and certificate programs. TNCC offers classes in its Hampton and Historic Triangle campuses and at the Southeast Center of Higher Education in Newport News.
