Mechatronics Technology (Level 1)

The Mechatronics Technology Career Studies Certificate is an accelerated, short-term program designed to fill entry-level production and technician positions in advanced manufacturing. Completed in nine months or less, the program prepares students for certification as a Siemens Certified Mechatronics Systems Assistant (Level 1). Graduates are skilled in operating complex manufacturing systems that integrate electrical, mechanical and computer engineering with responsibility for their efficient operation and preventative maintenance.

Advanced Mechatronics Technology (Level 2)

The Advanced Mechatronics Technology Career Studies Certificate is an accelerated, short-term program designed to enhance the mechatronics skills obtained in the Mechatronics Technology (Level 1) and develop highly skilled technicians capable of managing, repairing and troubleshooting these complex systems. Completed in nine months to a year, the program prepares students for certification as a Siemens Certified Mechatronics Systems Associate (Level 2).  Graduates are highly skilled in managing complex manufacturing systems that integrate electrical, mechanical and computer engineering with responsibility for programming, assembly, and repair.

Siemens College Partner

The Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification program is an internationally recognized comprehensive skills certification in mechatronic systems, and Thomas Nelson is a Siemens College Partner.

Who should Enroll

Both programs are recommended for exiting military and veterans and are one option in the Advanced Integrated Manufacturing program at Thomas Nelson.

Possibilities

Students who complete the Siemens Mechatronics Level 1 and Level 2 certifications will receive job placement assistance from a Thomas Nelson job placement coordinator to obtain employment with a manufacturing industry partner. Graduates of Level 1 may also continue their education by enrolling in the Advanced Mechatronics Technology with Level 2 Siemens certification. Graduates of Level 2 may also continue their education by enrolling in the Associate in Applied Science in Technical Studies with specialization in Industrial Technology.
