Work in a long-term care setting while providing direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed professional nurse. Become a nurse aide and help long-term care residents meet their physical, social, and psychological needs.  The program features low instructor to student ratio and includes a 40-hour internship at the Williamsburg Landing.  Upon successful completion of the course and practice exams, you can qualify for Virginia’s Certified Nursing Assistant Examination (written and manual skills). Exam fees ($94.00) separate from course.

Pre-requisites and class material:

Ability to lift 50 lbs., 18 years or older, H.S. Diploma or equivalent, pass a literacy test, ability to pass a background check. Students will also be required to wear white scrubs & tennis shoes, and an up to date TB test prior to scheduled internship. Students must also have a watch with a second hand (appx cost $15).
