The goal of Counseling support services is to assist students in developing skills to make intelligent decisions regarding their educational, career, personal and social issues.
Professional counselors interpret various educational assessments for students and assist them with curriculum placement and schedule development. Counselors are available to assist students throughout their college experience at TNCC with educational, career, and personal planning concerns. Our offices work closely with community agencies and resources to make student referrals based on the needs of the student, when appropriate.
Students have an opportunity to discuss confidential, personal concerns in a nonjudgmental environment. These services are free to all currently enrolled TNCC students. The Offices of Student Development work cooperatively with faculty and staff in instructional programs of the college for the success and benefit of the students.
Counselors support faculty in the classroom by providing information on how to make a referral. Faculty may refer students needing assistance using the faculty referral forms listed below:
