| PHY 100 | Elements of Physics (4 credits) Covers basic concepts of physics, including Newtonian mechanics, properties of matter, heat and sound, fundamental behavior of gases, ionizing radiation, and fundamentals of electricity. Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week. |
| PHY 201 | General College Physics I (4 credits) PHY 201/202 must be taken in sequence. Prerequisite(s): MTH 163 or equivalent. Teaches fundamental principles of physics. Covers mechanics, thermodynamics, wave phenomena, electricity and magnetism, and selected topics in modern physics. Part I of II. Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week. |
