| MAC 121 | Computer Numerical Control I (3 credits) MAC 121/122 must be taken in sequence. Prerequisite(s): MAC 161. Focuses on numerical control techniques in metal forming and machine processes. Includes theory and practice in lathe and milling machine computer numerical control program writing, setup and operation. Lecture 3 hours + lab 2 hours = 5 hours per week. |

| MAC 131 | Machine Lab I (2 credits) Teaches fundamental machine shop operations, bench work, layout, measuring tools, and safety. Lecture 1 hour + lab 3 hours = 4 hours per week. |
| MAC 161 | Machine Shop Practices I (3 credits) Prerequisite(s): ENF 1 or ENF 2 as demonstrated through the placement and diagnostics tests or equivalent. Introduces safety procedures, bench work, hand tools, precision measuring instruments, drill presses, cut-off saws, engine lathes, manual surface grinders, and milling machines. Lecture 2 hours + lab 2 hours = total 4 hours per week. |
| MAC 297 | Cooperative Education in Machine Technology (3 credits) Prerequisite(s): Approval of cooperative education coordinator. Supervised on-the-job training in approved business firms or governmental organizations. The work is coordinated by the cooperative education coordinator. Lecture 3 hours per week. |
