Special Notes : This section is a Distance Learning course taught using Blackboard via the Internet. Students must have regular access to a computer and the Internet to successfully complete this course. Orientations for Fall 2012 will be held on Wednesday, August 15, from 5-6 pm in the Mary T. Christian Auditorium in Templin Hall on the Hampton Campus and Thursday, August 16, from 5-6 pm in the Commonwealth Classroom - room 110 - at the Historic Triangle Campus. Full Course Description : (3 credits) Prerequisite(s): ENF 1 or ENF 2 as demonstrated by the placement and diagnostics test or equivalent. Increases the variety and depth of the student's interest, knowledge, and involvement in music and related cultural activities. Acquaints the student with traditional and twentieth century music literature, emphasizing the relationship music has as an art form with man and society. Increases the student's awareness of the composers and performers of all eras through listening and concert experiences. Lecture 3 hours per week.
