| Special Notes | : | The above section will be conducted in a combination of traditional classroom lecture and online (Distance Learning) delivery. Students must have regular access to a computer and the Internet to successfully complete this course. Orientations for Fall 2012 will be held on Wednesday, August 15, from 5-6 pm in the Mary T. Christian Auditorium in Templin Hall on the Hampton Campus and Thursday, August 16, from 5-6 pm in the Commonwealth Classroom - room 110 - at the Historic Triangle Campus. | Full Course Description | : | (3 credits) Prerequisite(s): ENF 1 or ENF 2 as demonstrated through the placement and diagnostics tests or equivalent. Provides knowledge, skills, and insight for working in drug and alcohol abuse programs. Emphasizes personal growth and client growth measures in helping relationships. Stresses various methods of individual and group techniques for helping the substance abuser. Lecture 3 hours per week. |
