Students must have regular access to a computer and the Internet to successfully complete this course. Orientations for Fall 2012 will be held on Wednesday, August 15, from 5-6 pm in the Mary T. Christian Auditorium in Templin Hall on the Hampton Campus and Thursday, August 16, from 5-6 pm in the Commonwealth Classroom - room 110 - at the Historic Triangle Campus. Full Course Description : (3 credits) Prerequisite(s): ENF 1 or ENF 2 as demonstrated through the placement and diagnostics tests or equivalent. Applies mathematical operations to business processes and problems. Reviews operations, equations, percents, sales and property taxes, insurance, checkbook and cash records, wage and payroll computations, depreciation, overhead, inventory turnover and valuation, financial statements, ratio analysis, commercial discounts, markup, and markdown. Lecture 3 hours per week.
