Special Notes : This section is a Distance Learning course taught using Blackboard via the Internet. Students must have regular access to a computer and the Internet to successfully complete this course. There will be two distance learning orientation sessions - one from 5-6 pm in room 100 on (Wednesday) January 2, 2013 at the Historic Triangle Campus and the second held on (Thursday) January 3, 2013, from 5-6pm in the Mary Christian Auditorium on the Hampton Campus. Full Course Description : (3 credits) Prerequisite(s): ENF 1 or ENF 2 as demonstrated through the placement and diagnostics tests or equivalent. Provides instruction to provide students with a working knowledge of Internet terminology and services including e-mail, WWW browsing, search engines, ftp, file compression, and other services using a variety of software packages. Provides instruction for basic web page construction. Lecture 3 hours per week.
