This section is a Distance Learning course taught using Blackboard via the Internet. Students must have regular access to a computer and the Internet to successfully complete this course. There will be two distance learning orientation sessions - one from 5-6 pm in room 100 on (Wednesday) January 8, 2014 at the Historic Triangle Campus and the second held on (Thursday) January 9, 2014, from 5-6pm in the Mary Christian Auditorium on the Hampton Campus. (3 credits) Prerequisite(s): ITE 115 or ITE 119 or ITE 120 or departmental permission. Introduces the student to Relational Database and Relational Database theory. Includes planning, defining and using a database; table design, linking, and normalization; types of databases, database description and definition. Lecture 3 hours per week.
