This section is a Distance Learning course taught using Blackboard via the Internet. Students must have regular access to a computer and the Internet to successfully complete this course. There will be two distance learning orientation sessions - one from 5-6 pm in room 100 on (Wednesday) January 8, 2014 at the Historic Triangle Campus and the second held on (Thursday) January 9, 2014, from 5-6pm in the Mary Christian Auditorium on the Hampton Campus. (3 credits) Studies law of real property and gives in-depth survey of the more common types of real estate transactions and conveyances such as deeds, contracts, leases, and deeds of trust. Focuses on drafting these various instruments and studies the system of recording and search of public documents. Lecture 3 hours per week.
