This section is a Distance Learning course taught using Blackboard via the Internet. Proctored testing is required. Students must have regular access to a computer and the Internet to successfully complete this course. There will be two distance learning orientation sessions - one from 5-6 pm in room 100 on (Wednesday) January 8, 2014 at the Historic Triangle Campus and the second held on (Thursday) January 9, 2014, from 5-6pm in the Mary Christian Auditorium on the Hampton Campus. (4 credits) BIO 141/142 must be taken in sequence. Prerequisite(s): BIO 141. Integrates anatomy and physiology of cells, tissues, organs, and systems of the human body. Integrates concepts of chemistry, physics, and pathology. Lecture 3 hours + lab 3 hours = total 6 hours per week.
