Proctored testing may be required for this online course. Students will have one online attempt to complete tests in a specified time frame. Any additional attempts due to technical issues and makeup tests are proctored. Students in the local area will complete proctored tests at the campus testing center. Students outside the local area will work with the instructor during the first week of class to make proctored testing arrangements. This section is a Distance Learning course taught using Blackboard via the Internet. Students must have regular access to a computer and the Internet to successfully complete this course. There will be two distance learning orientation sessions - one from 5-6 pm in room 100 on (Wednesday) January 8, 2014 at the Historic Triangle Campus and the second held on (Thursday) January 9, 2014, from 5-6pm in the Mary Christian Auditorium on the Hampton Campus. (3 credits) Prerequisite(s): ENF 1 or ENF 2 as demonstrated through the placement and diagnostics tests or equivalent. Studies the concepts related to the maintenance of health, safety, and the prevention of illness at the personal and community level. Lecture 3 hours per week.
