The above section will be conducted in a combination of traditional classroom lecture and online (Distance Learning) delivery. Students must have regular access to a computer and the Internet to successfully complete this course. There will be two distance learning orientation sessions - one from 5-6 pm in room 100 on (Wednesday) January 8, 2014 at the Historic Triangle Campus and the second held on (Thursday) January 9, 2014, from 5-6pm in the Mary Christian Auditorium on the Hampton Campus. (2 credits) Introduces professional fields of engineering technology. Covers the work of the engineering technologist, professional ethics, division of industrial practice, and engineering problem solving with hand calculator and computer applications. Lecture 1 hour + lab 2 hours = total 3 hours per week.
