The above section will be conducted in a combination of traditional classroom lecture and online (Distance Learning) delivery. Students must have regular access to a computer and the Internet to successfully complete this course. There will be two distance learning orientation sessions - one from 5-6 pm in room 100 on (Wednesday) January 8, 2014 at the Historic Triangle Campus and the second held on (Thursday) January 9, 2014, from 5-6pm in the Mary Christian Auditorium on the Hampton Campus. (3 credits) Provides exercises leading to knowledge and skill in the rudiments of music. Includes rhythmic notation as well as scales, keys, and intervals along with exercises in sight reading and ear training. Lecture 3 hours per week.
