This section is a Distance Learning course taught by Northern Virginia Community College using Blackboard via the Internet. Class begins January 13, 2014. Proctored testing is required. Students must have regular access to a computer and the Internet to successfully complete this course. There will be two distance learning orientation sessions - one from 5-6 pm in room 100 on (Wednesday) January 8, 2014 at the Historic Triangle Campus and the second held on (Thursday) January 9, 2014, from 5-6pm in the Mary Christian Auditorium on the Hampton Campus. (5 credits) ARA 101/102 must be taken in sequence. Prerequisite(s): ARA 101. Introduces understanding,speaking, reading, and writing skills and emphasizes basic Arabic sentence structure. Discusses the diversity of cultures in the Arab world. Part II of II. Lecture 5 hours per week.
