Transcript Information

To order a transcript, write to the following address:

Enrollment Services Office
Attn: Records
Thomas Nelson Community College
99 Thomas Nelson Drive
Hampton, VA 23666

Faxed requests will be honored as well: (757) 825-2763

If you attended TNCC after 1977, requests to send transcripts to another member of the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) will not be honored. Electronic transcripts available via the VCCS Student Information System will be sufficient for colleges within the VCCS.

If it has not been more than three years since your last enrollment at TNCC, you may be able to request a transcript online via MyTNCC.

The standard processing time is 7-10 business days.

Transcripts are provided free of charge. In your signed request, please include your social security number, date of birth, approximate dates of attendance, all previous names, and the complete mailing address where you want the transcript sent. A signature is also required. Because of the signature requirement, we cannot accept email requests for transcripts.

Please understand that if you want the transcript sent to you, it may be considered “unofficial” by most schools. In order for a transcript to be considered “official” for the purposes of admissions and transfer of credits to another school, the document must be sent directly from one school to another.

The College closes for winter break. During this time, transcript requests will not be available. Walk-in requests will be honored until the published closed date. Please review the academic calendar for closings. Transcript requests received by December 3, 2012 will be available before the published closed date.

TNCC has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide enrollment and degree verification. The National Student Clearinghouse can be contacted at:
