Gold, Gods and Glory, the Global Dynamics of Power is this year’s topic for the Honor Seminar Series sponsored by the Thomas Nelson Community College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) International Honor Society. Seminars will be held in Room 100, Diggs Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7 and Nov. 28. The seminars are free to TNCC students, faculty and staff. Admission is $2.00 for the general public with all proceeds to be donated to the VA Civil Rights Memorial Fund. U.S. Navy Students to Graduate from Medical Laboratory Technology Program at Thomas Nelson Community College

Six of the Graduating Students Served as Hospital Corpsmen in Iraq and Afghanistan:
The Virginia Peninsula – On Wednesday, August 9, at 8:30 a.m., 32 U.S. Navy students will be graduating from the Medical Laboratory Technology Program at Thomas Nelson Community College. The ceremony will take place at the Mary T. Christian Auditorium on the Thomas Nelson Hampton campus.
Six of the graduating students served in Iraq and Afghanistan supporting the U.S. Marine Corps as hospital corpsmen prior to convening for school at Thomas Nelson Community College. Hospital corpsmen play a key role in rendering emergency medical treatment to U.S. Marines in a combat environment. Upon graduation, these U.S. Navy students will be sent around the world to serve as Med Lab Technicians in U.S. Navy facilities where medical laboratories are available.
