The Virginia Peninsula – Friday, August 25, 2006, was a day of new beginnings for 64 students who graduated from various workforce development programs at Thomas Nelson Community College. Among graduates were 10 students who received Medical Office Administration certificates sponsored by a grant-program for spouses of those serving at Langley Air Force.
Professional certificates were also awarded in Website Management Program, Human Resource Management Essentials, Medical Transcription, Pharmacy Technician, Medical Coding Billing Specialist , Medical Office Assistant , Dental Office Assistant Administrative Office Specialist, Dealing with Conflict and Confrontation, Non-Profit Organization, Overcoming Negativity in the Workplace, Taking Control of your Workday and Professional Telephone Skills during the program which was held at the Espada Conference Center in Moore Hall on the College’s Hampton campus.
