Bookstore and Financial Aid: Why Wait in Line?

Students who have anticipated aid in excess of paying their tuition and fees have three ways to purchase their books and supplies up to $650.00, for the upcoming fall semester:
Option 1: Beginning Wednesday, August 8th, 2012, you may order your books and supplies online through the TNCC Bookstore. Go to www.efollett.com, pick Virginia then Thomas Nelson Community College. You then choose the campus that the class is being held. The Hampton Bookstore carries textbooks for all campuses (Hampton, Historic Triangle, and Distance). The Historic Triangle (HT) Bookstore only stocks the textbooks for the HT campus. You will need your student ID number to place the order.

Financial Aid and Registration for Summer 2012

Summer registration begins for currently enrolled students on Monday, March 26, 2012. The 2012 Summer Aid Application will also be available beginning March 26th and must be completed to be considered for summer assistance. The priority deadline to complete this application is April 20, 2012. If we receive your summer aid application after April 20, 2012, your financial aid will not be available by the tuition due date on May 4, 2012. If you submit your summer aid application after April 20, 2012, you will need to have another way to pay for your tuition and fees, as well as any bookstore charges.

It is important to read the information before applying for summer aid. You can also pick-up the information from Financial Aid Services in Griffin Hall, Room 212 (Hampton) and at the Historic Triangle Campus (Williamsburg).

- Option 1: Beginning Friday, May 13, 2011, you may order your books and supplies online through the TNCC bookstore at http://tncc.edu/students/student-resources/bookstore-thomas-nelson/ or www.efollett.com ) and use your financial aid to make those purchases. You may choose to order new or used books and you can choose to have the items picked up OR they may be shipped to you. Please allow three business days to process for shipping or to pick up the order. The charge for shipping will also be deducted from your financial aid up to $19.99. Shipping charges over $19.99 will require payment by you. To order your books, go to http://tncc.edu/students/student-resources/bookstore-thomas-nelson/ or www.efollett.com.

Option 1: Beginning Monday, December 27, 2010, students may rent selected textbooks and use your financial aid for your rental purchases. Textbook rental affords students savings of up to 50 percent. Visit www.rent-a-text.com for more information about this innovative program. You will need a valid credit card to secure the return and/or damages to books that are rented.
