Second Eight-Week Class Session at TNCC Offers Opportunity to Start or Continue Education This Spring

It’s not too late to start spring classes at Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC). The College’s second eight-week session starts Monday, March 12. Take classes at the Hampton campus and the Historic Triangle campus in Williamsburg. Day, evening and online classes are available. Visit www.tncc.edu for a complete list of classes.

Students can register online at www.tncc.edu, or in person during the following times: Monday – Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon in Room 208, Griffin Hall on the Hampton campus. At the Historic Triangle campus, visit room 117 to register. Tuition payment for this eight-week class session is due at the time of registration.

Deadlines to Add, Change, Drop Spring Semester Classes Approaching

Spring semester 2012 is underway at Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC), and the deadlines to add, change and drop classes are approaching.

For students enrolled in five-week courses, the last day to withdraw from a course is Friday, January 27.

For students enrolled in eight-week classes,the last day to drop classes for a refund is Tuesday, January 17. The last day to withdraw from a class with a grade of “W” is Wednesday, February 8.

Tuesday, January 17 is the last day to add or change classes for students enrolled in TNCC’s 16-week session. Those students may drop classes for a refund through Monday, January 23. The last day to withdraw from a course is Friday, March 23.

To make changes to the class schedule, use MyTNCC to access the VCCS SIS: Student Information System. The portal’s Self Service menu includes an Enrollment option that allows students to add classes.

New and returning students at Thomas Nelson Community College still have the opportunity to start or continue their education this spring. A new eight-week accelerated session starts on Monday, March 12. The new session comprises more than 60 classes offered at the Hampton and Historic Triangle campuses and includes traditional day and evening classes as well as online classes. New in this eight-week class session is Introduction to Construction Supervision (BLD 188) which leads to two new career studies certificates in Construction Supervision and/or Construction Leadership. The full class schedule for the eight-week session is posted at www.tncc.edu.

Students can register online at www.tncc.edu, or register in person anytime during the following times: Monday – Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Room 204, Griffin Hall on the Hampton campus and in Building 161-A at the Historic Triangle campus. Tuition payment for the eight-week class session is due at the time of registration.

Thomas Nelson Community College to Offer Eight Week Session this Fall Semester

The Virginia Peninsula – New and returning students at Thomas Nelson Community College still have the opportunity to start or continue their education this fall. A new eight-week accelerated session starts on Saturday, October 14. The weekday classes will begin on Monday, October 16. The new session comprises more than 50 courses offered at the Hampton and the Historic Triangle campuses and includes traditional day and evening classes as well as online classes.  The full class schedule of the eight-week session is posted at: http://www.tncc.edu/schedule.

Through Tuesday, October 3, students can register online at www.tncc.edu. From October 4 – 9, the Virginia Community College System will be upgrading and enhancing the computerized student information system. In preparation for the conversion, online registration services will not be available during this time. Students can register for classes in person anytime during the following times: Monday – Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Room 208, Griffin Hall on the Hampton campus and in Building 161 A at the Historic Triangle campus. Tuition payment for the eight-week class session is due at the time of registration. During the system’s shutdown, only credit cards and checks will be accepted for tuition payments.

Thomas Nelson Community College to Begin New 8-Week Accelerated Session October 18, 2005

New and returning students at Thomas Nelson Community College still have the opportunity to start or continue their education this fall. A new 8 week accelerated session starts at TNCC on Tuesday, October 18, 2005. The new accelerated 8 week session comprises over 40 courses that will be offered in the Hampton and the Historic Triangle campus and include traditional day and evening classes as well as online classes. Students can register now online at www.tncc.edu or in person during the following times: Monday – Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Fridays from 8 to 4 p.m. All services needed for registration will be available during those times at both the Hampton and Historic Triangle campus.

New students can also apply for admission by filling out an interactive online application available on the TNCC website at www.tncc.edu. The application can be submitted electronically to the TNCC Admissions Office. Continuing students can also register and pay online 24 hours a day by using NelsonOnLine, the TNCC student information system. Students from the Gulf Coast area colleges and universities who were not able to start classes when the regular fall semester session started are encouraged to sign up for these classes.
