TNCC is site of FBLA’s Spring Competition

Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) will host the Future Business Leaders of America’s (FBLA) Spring Competition on Saturday, March 6 at 9 a.m. at the Espada Conference Center, Hampton campus. The event is a gathering for high school students who are members of the organization at Virginia Peninsula schools. FBLA is a national organization that focuses on several areas of student development including business knowledge and skills; school and community service; leadership and promotion, and financial and social awareness.
William Travis, TNCC’s Historic Triangle campus provost and regional director of FBLA’s Thomas Nelson region, said judges from TNCC will evaluate students in several competitions taking place before the March 6 event including:

Enterprising high school students destined to be tomorrow’s business and industry heads will converge on Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) Saturday, March 7 when the Virginia Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) holds its regional spring conference on the Hampton campus.
Thomas Nelson has been host site to the organization’s TNCC Region conference for several years as Historic Triangle campus Provost William Travis, Ph.D., is director for the region. This year marks the twenty-eighth spring conference, he noted.
