2011 Coliseum Central Holiday Parade

Students, faculty and staff represented the College during the annual Coliseum Central Holiday parade in Hampton. The parade will air on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 5 p.m. on WGNT (channel 27/The CW) and 7 p.m. on WTKR (channel 3).

TNCC Nursing Students Donate Food to Local Service Organization

Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) nursing students recently donated over 300 food items to Hampton Roads Ecumenical Lodgings and Provisions, Inc. (H.E.L.P.). Based in Hampton, H.E.L.P. was established in 1982 to serve the homeless and those in crisis by providing shelter, food, financial assistance and medical and dental care.

“Our contribution to this wonderful facility was just a fraction of what we could do to help our community. As future nurses, we are proud and privileged to be able to contribute to such a giving organization. (more…)

Thomas Nelson Community College to Observe Holiday Schedule

Thomas Nelson Community College will be closed from 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21 through Sunday, Nov. 25 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Classes, college support activities and registration for the spring semester will resume Monday, Nov. 26 under regular operating hours.

For the year-end holidays, the College will be closed from Friday, Dec. 21 through Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008. During that period, limited registration services will be available from Wednesday, Dec. 26 through Friday, Dec. 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and on Saturday, Dec. 29 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The College will resume normal hours of operation on Wednesday, January 2.

Thomas Nelson Community College to Observe Holiday Schedule

Governor Tim Kaine has authorized additional holiday time for all state employees in observance of Thanksgiving and the year-end holidays. Thomas Nelson Community College will therefore be closed from Wednesday, November 22 through Sunday, November 26. The College will resume normal hours of operation on Monday, November 27. For the year-end holidays, the College will be closed from Thursday, December 21 through Monday, January 1. The College will resume normal hours of operation on Tuesday, January 2.

Students can always register and pay for spring semester classes online at www.tncc.edu and should make arrangements to do so while the College is closed during these periods. The spring semester at Thomas Nelson Community College will start on Saturday, January 6, 2007.
