Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) student Christopher Duke was among students statewide chosen as 2011 Commonwealth Legacy Scholars. Representing Virginia’s 23 community colleges, Commonwealth Legacy Scholars received scholarships of up to $3,500 for the 2011-2012 school year. The students were honored during a Virginia Foundation for Community College Education (VFCCE) luncheon in Charlottesville in mid-November.
“These outstanding students are Virginia’s future leaders. They represent the potential in all of our youth, and the difference that we each can make in the world,” said Glenn DuBois, Chancellor of Virginia’s Community Colleges (VCCS).
