Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) marketing students earned $5,000 after proposing a marketing campaign for the American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC). Chosen from among five student entries, TNCC students created a plan to help AAWCC increase its membership. The award will benefit scholarships for business students at TNCC.
Sandra Robertson, Professor of Business and Business Department Program Head, led eight TNCC students as they created a plan to increase awareness, promote growth and help the members of AAWCC distinguish themselves from other female interest groups. The organization strives “to champion women and maximize their potential” with state and national activities that promote leadership “at every level within community colleges.”
