On Thursday, January 7, Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) President Alvin J. Schexnider announced organizational restructuring necessitated by current and anticipated budget cuts. Seven faculty administrative positions, eight classified positions and six part-time positions will be eliminated. These changes are necessary to help the College improve efficiency and remain a strong and viable organization that will continue to bring vitality to the region and to the Commonwealth of Virginia.
“In the last four years, Thomas Nelson Community College has experienced deep cuts. I remain committed to total transparency to the College community and will do my very best to minimize the effects of the budget shortfall while protecting mission-critical functions for our students,” President Schexnider said.
