TNCC Nurse Aide Program Enrolling

Thomas Nelson Community College’s two-month Nurse Aide program in Williamsburg is now registering. This state-approved program prepares you to provide direct patient care under supervision, help long term care residents, and qualifies you to take Virginia’s Nurse Aide Exam.

Classes are held at the Williamsburg campus, 4601 Opportunity  Way, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Gatortation: TNCC’s New Pre-Enrollment College Orientation Session

As of June 1, 2010, all New TNCC Students have been required to attend a Gatortation session in preparation for advising, registration and college success (Please see the definition of New Students below). These mandatory sessions provide each new student with an academic plan, college orientation and the opportunity to register for Fall classes. Students cannot register for courses until they have completed the Gatortation session. Students must complete their Placement Tests before attending the Gatortation session.

TNCC to Hold Orientation Session for Members of Local College Board

An Orientation Session for members of the Thomas Nelson Community College Local College Board has been scheduled for Monday, August 6, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. to be held on the Hampton and Historic Triangle campuses. The purpose of the Board Orientation is to familiarize the new Board members with the College’s mission and its organizational and operational structure, the collegial decision-making processes, the College’s facilities and to provide them with other information or processes that will help them in their duties as Board members. Each vice president will have a brief meeting with the Board members to provide an area overview and present critical issues that may be of interest to the Board.

Spring into the Future with TNCC Open House at the Historic Triangle Campus, Saturday, April 29th.

THE VIRGINIA PENINSULA – Spring into the Future is the theme of the Open House to be held at Thomas Nelson Community College’s Historic Triangle Campus on Saturday, April 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Registration and continental breakfast will start at 8:30 a.m. The Open House is open to the entire community. The TNCC Historic Triangle Campus is located at 161-A John Jefferson Square in Williamsburg.

Parents, along with new, prospective and returning students are invited to participate in the College’s Open House to meet with the TNCC faculty and deans of the college’s four academic divisions who take pride in helping students meet high standards in the classroom while creating a supportive learning environment. Participants attending the Open House will also have an opportunity to meet with TNCC staff to discuss admission, transfer options, financial aid, scholarships, and other services available at the College. Registration for the summer and fall semesters will also be available.  A student panel has also been scheduled to give current students the opportunity to talk to prospective students and parents about their educational experience at TNCC. A discussion panel with the department deans is also scheduled.  A campus tour will be conducted during the event.
