TNCC’s Second Eight-week Class Session Begins March 11

It’s not too late to start spring classes at Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC). The College’s second eight-week session starts Monday, March 11. Take classes at the Hampton campus and the Historic Triangle campus in Williamsburg. Day, evening and online classes are available. Students may also take classes at TNCC’s Southeast Higher Education Center located at An Achievable Dream Middle & High School in Newport News. Visit www.tncc.edu for a complete list of available classes.
Students can register online at www.tncc.edu, or in person during the following times: Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon in Room 208, Griffin Hall on the Hampton campus. At the Historic Triangle campus, visit room 117 to register. Tuition payment for this eight-week class session is due at the time of registration.
TNCC Renames Welcome Center, Adds Daily Registration Workshops to Help New Students

Formally called the Welcome Center, the Registration Self-Service Center (RSSC) on Thomas Nelson Community College’s (TNCC) Hampton campus in room 221-I, Griffin Hall, offers daily Registration Workshops to help new students start strong.
The daily sessions take place at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and last about 30 minutes. An additional workshop takes place at 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays. Also open to continuing students who need a refresher, the workshops provide instruction on:
- logging in to the Student Information System, MyTNCC
- locating TNCC email
- Blackboard
- self-service options including registration (more…)

Priority Registration for currently enrolled students starts Monday, October 22 – Sunday, October 28, 2012. Advising Week begins Monday, October 22 – Thursday, October 25.
Spring 2013 Advising
As a currently enrolled student you have been assigned to a faculty member or a designated area to receive advising. Students have been assigned a faculty member for academic advising based on the following criteria:
- No Developmental English course required
- Completion of 15 college-level credits or more
- A 2.0 grade point average (GPA) or higher

Students who have anticipated aid in excess of paying their tuition and fees have three ways to purchase their books and supplies up to $650.00, for the upcoming fall semester:
Option 1: Beginning Wednesday, August 8th, 2012, you may order your books and supplies online through the TNCC Bookstore. Go to www.efollett.com, pick Virginia then Thomas Nelson Community College. You then choose the campus that the class is being held. The Hampton Bookstore carries textbooks for all campuses (Hampton, Historic Triangle, and Distance). The Historic Triangle (HT) Bookstore only stocks the textbooks for the HT campus. You will need your student ID number to place the order.
