While college is a crucial time of development and growth for most students, it can also be overwhelming for some. Acknowledging that everyday sources of stress can eventually lead to problems with depression and anxiety when left untreated, Thomas Nelson Community College now offers online mental health screenings for a range of common emotional conditions that tend to go undiagnosed.

Students can complete a simple, confidential questionnaire to determine what is wrong and see the treatment options available, according to Richard Hurst, Disabilities Coordinator at TNCC.  He said 4 out of 10 college students report feeling so depressed that they have difficulty functioning in everyday life.
