TNCC Faculty Daniel Canfield Receives Full Fellowship to Attend Advanced Technology Conference

Daniel Canfield, recently retired head of the Electronics Department at Thomas Nelson Community College, has received a Full Fellowship from the Maricopa Advanced Technology Education Center (MATEC). Funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the fellowship will enable Canfield to attend the SAME-TEC Advanced Technological Education Conference in Austin, Texas July 28-31, 2008.
The SAME-TEC conference gives education and industry partners from across the nation the opportunity to network and collaborate to promote the viability of high tech industries through the development of a highly skilled and knowledgeable workforce. Conference participants get an up-close look at the ever-advancing tools, training demands, and recent developments in emerging and converging technology fields.
