Two concerts at Thomas Nelson Community College’s (TNCC) Hampton campus in the Dr. Mary T. Christian Auditorium will usher in the holiday season.
The Chesapeake Bay Wind Ensemble will present “Hampton Roads Holly Days” on Saturday, December 8 at 7:30 p.m. Lead by conductors Jim Paschall and Robert Arledge, the ensemble will perform an array of the season’s standards. Free for children under 18, tickets will be available for $5 at the door or can be purchased online at www.cbwe.org.
On Sunday, December 9 at 3 p.m., the York River Symphony Orchestra will bring “Glad Tidings.” Lead by Conductor Dr. Eric Reiff and Assistant Conductor Clint Correll, musicians will perform Ellenberg’s Peterbourgh Sleigh Ride, Herbison’s The Good King and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 1, Movement 4 and other holiday classics.
