Thomas Nelson Workforce Development is honored to bring together thriving and growing entrepreneurs from around the region for the second Peninsula Entrepreneurship Forum on May 22, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Peninsula Workforce Development Center.
This year’s forum, “Inspire, Launch, Grow,” will provide growing and established entrepreneurs with an array of information from successful business owners in the Peninsula. The forum will allow entrepreneurs to share their perspective on business inspiration, implementation and growth.
Gary Schoeniger, CEO of The Entrepreneurial Learning Initiative, will serve as the keynote speaker at the forum. Schoeniger is an internationally recognized thought leader in the field of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial mindset training. Through a partnership with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, Schoeniger recently launched the Ice House Entrepreneurship Program and co-authored, “Who Owns the Icehouse-Eight Life Lessons from an Unlikely Entrepreneur.” Thomas Nelson Workforce Development has implemented the Ice House program through the eight-week Entrepreneurial Leadership Academy.
The forum will also include speakers from the region including; Lakesha Brown-Renfro, Tanecia Willis, and Nzinga Teule-Hekima, Hampton-based owners of Simply Panache Products, creators of Mango, Mango, which was featured on ABC’s Shark Tank in 2013; Williamsburg’s Zee Worstell, co-owner of AccelerateHer, a women’s business development organization; Marla Schuchman of Three Sheep Consulting, LLC and more.
The conference includes a continental breakfast and lunch. The conference is free and open to the public, space is limited and registration is required.
