Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) celebrates National Humor Month with a showing of “Best in Show” at noon on Wednesday, April 27. Free and open to the public, the event will be held in Room 110 at the Historic Triangle Campus, 4601 Opportunity Way, Williamsburg.
“Best in Show” follows five dog owners and their animals through the toils of entering a highly competitive dog show. Starring Fred Willard, Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy, the 2000 mock documentary profiles the owners as they juggle the competition with unrelated events, including a chance encounter with an old lover.
National Humor Month was founded in 1976 by best-selling humorist Larry Wilde, Director of The Carmel Institute of Humor. The annual observance is designed to foster awareness of the benefits of laughter, including improved health, increased morale and enriched communication skills and quality of life.
