Students also have the privilege of working on makes and models they are likely to see once they are hired as mechanics.

The program serves about 70 students per term. Several career studies certificates are available, including Brakes/Steering/Suspension Specialist, Climate Control Specialist, Engine Performance Specialist and Transmission Repair Specialist. Each certificate can be used toward the Automotive Technology Certificate and Associate in Applied Science degree in Automotive Technology.

Approved as a certified automotive training program by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, (ASE), TNCC’s program serves students with instructors who are ASE Master Certified Technicians. All textbooks are also ASE approved. TNCC has partnered with local dealerships to provide co-ops for the students that include tuition assistance and assistance with job placement.
