Admissions representatives from colleges and universities across the region will be at Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) Monday, Sept. 21 for the TNCC College Fair to share information with students about transfer opportunities.
From 9:30-11:30 a.m. at TNCC’s Historic Triangle campus and later from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Hampton campus, the following institutions will be represented: College of William & Mary, Christopher Newport University, ECPI, Hampton University, Old Dominion University, St. Leo University, Virginia Commonwealth University, Regent University, University of Phoenix, and the University of Maryland UC.
Visits to TNCC by four-year institution representatives occur monthly to raise students’ awareness about available transfer options and make the process of learning about these options convenient.
“We bring admissions representatives from four-year institutions to our students versus students having to seek out this service on their own. ‘Transfer made easy,’ is a Virginia Community Colleges motto that we are strongly committed to,” said TNCC’s Academic Planning and Transfer Coordinator Tonya Burton. “We want to make sure that our students are thoroughly informed about everything that the process of continuing their education involves and these face to face meetings are an important step.”
